'A Night at the Inn' - The Ship Inn, Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

The Ship Inn on the shore of the Victorian coastal town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Yorkshire, England. The resort is famous for its smuggling heritage and fishing. The Inn dates back to some time in the 1500's and its one time landlord John Andrew was known as 'King of Smugglers'. There was also an Inn named 'Nimrod' which was situated where the old Mortuary now stands to the right of the picture. Saltburn is very popular for tourist and surfers who have come to recognise it as one of the best surfing beaches in England.
