As the seas are whipped up by a monstrous unnatural storm, the Russian schooner Demeter runs aground on the shores of the coastal town of Whitby in North Yorkshire. Coastal guards find the captain dead at the wheel; a large black dog is seen leaping from the ship and disappearing into the cliffs …. Dracula has arrived, August 8th, 1893 … The nightmare begins.
