The Force - High Force Waterfall, Forest-in-Teesdale
As you stroll through the peaceful woodland listening to the gentle bird sound and the rustling of the trees resonating through the forest, in the distance you can just hear what sounds like a small brook flowing below you. But as you wind through the path you come to an opening and this trickle of water suddenly explodes into a thunderous raging river that is the Tees as it gathers pace from its birth on the heather covered fells at the top of the North Pennines, to the edge of a spectacular 21 metre drop to the pool below, this is High force, this is …. ‘The Force’.
