The Butterfly Effect - Saltburn-by-the-Sea

At Saltburn-by-the-Sea, on north Yorkshire’s coast, you will find golden sands, café’s, bars, amusements, an iconic Victorian pier, and a stunning funicular cliff lift. Together with the thriving surfing culture, this makes for a great seaside destination for many. The other thing that this part of the coast is famed for is its changeable weather, and so as I was wandering along the lower promenade, watching the skies changing colour rapidly, I noticed the fantastic piece of art showing a person blowing, not bubbles, but Butterflies, decorating the side of one of the huts. I could not help but think about ‘The Butterfly Effect’, whereas a single flutter of a Butterfly’s wings can change the way the wind blows, well this is just used to simplify the idea that any situation where there’s a small change is supposed to be the cause of larger consequences.
